Folder number three is as the title suggests, yet this
shouldn’t be a question as to the validity of the bands and songs enclosed
within, for these are the ones for who pop stardom was but a kiss away. Or
maybe pop isn’t the best descriptive word to use here, as the underground world
of minimal synth lends its self quite nicely to underground Goth, underground
Industrial and underground Synth-pop, which hopefully you’ll find herein. There
are some absolute gems hidden in here from Simon F (previously of Intaferon),
Berlin (yes Take My Breath Away) from 1983 and the outstanding Barbi & The
Kens (you can decide on this one). All of which should be taken seriously
enough with the remaining 31 tracks. The musical endeavours can’t be side lined
either as many of the bands here are of the classic one single and gone
variety. Every ounce of their being, at that moment in time, is represented in
their work presented here and they deserve at the very least a healthy
listening too. Plus, these singles are very, very rare nowadays.
Folder three “The Seriously Questionable” is available in
MP3 @ 320kbps
Celebrate The Nun
Cunning Toy
Boys Say Go
Pink And Black
1000 Ohm
U-Bahn X
Perfect Vision
Pretty Poison
You’ll kick yourself if you don’t…and you’ll ask yourself
why? If you do

Unfamiliar with so many of these bands AJ.
ReplyDeleteYou really went the extra mile gathering
and ripping these tunes, effort appreciated.

In all seriousness I have been collecting this kinda stuff for years. Many of the sites that I used to frequent have closed which makes a lot of this music and these artists hard to find again. Every track comes from a 7" or 12" single, mini or full album released on small independent or self financed record labels. Many were in limited quantities of a couple hundred and should be made available again, if possible, through the means of digital media for the world wide audience who missed out first time around. If like me, you can't afford the ridiculous prices some traders want for these gems, hunting the blogosphere for digital uploads is your only course of action.
DeleteYears back I use to collect a series that was available
Deletevia torrent that had many rare items similar to what
you present here. Each volume would contain a few bands
(mostly obscure) with a release from each. Also various
artists compilations were made by the same individual.
Unfortunately, most were lost with a hard drive crash
I had a few years ago. I wonder if any torrent links
are still active? I can't remember the last time I
downloaded a torrent. I may look into it sometime.

I haven’t downloaded via torrent since my last desktop crashed

ReplyDeleteTHANKS AJ for the great effort.
you're going to need a lot of additional fluids during the heatwave this weekend my friend, and possibly a towel to keep your keyboard dry
