Down On The Farm is the seminal 1985 debut 12" EP by Australian punk rock veterans Cosmic Psychos, released on Mr. Spaceman Records. Recorded on a primitive two-track setup with borrowed gear, the five-track mini-album established the band's trademark "yob rock" sound, defined by Ross Knight’s driving bass lines and Peter "Dirty" Jones's fuzz-drenched, wah-wah guitar. The rare original pressing was uniquely issued on translucent brown vinyl, and its raw, heavy distortion went on to serve as a major sonic blueprint for the emerging Seattle grunge scene.
