Post-Radio Birdman and New Race, Rob Younger embarked on a new adventure with The New Christs after he was offered the support spot on Iggy Pop's Australian tour of 1984. The other members had played in groups such as Celibate Rifles, Lime Spiders and Hoodoo Gurus. The tour proved a success and the band stayed together, recording the two singles Like A Curse and Born Out Of Time for Sydney independent label Citadel Records. This UK 12” compilation containing their 2nd 7"single ‘Like A Curse’, and their 3rd 7" single ‘Born Out Of Time’ was as compelling as anything Younger had done before.

Remember the day got this in the post from Vinyl Solution mail order. Along with the Eastern Dark mlp and a couple other Aussie singles. Jeez,I was bouncing off the walls that day.

Oh Dave P. I'm so there! I bought the same two plus a Radio Birdman single while on hoilday in Australia and had to wait another 4 weeks until I could hear them...Eastern Dark are still to to be published here.
