As One Door Closes, Another Door Opens

Locked down again at the beginning of another year, stuck looking at the same four walls really isn't helping my sanity. Yesterday, in a brief moment of blue sky, the feeling of the weak winter sun warming my back reminded me that there will be better times for those of us lucky enough to seize the days ahead.

My external HDD has died. Can't be saved. Everything is lost...We are currently taking all the photos that were posted to Facebook, Twitter, saved to CDr and lurking on both of our mobiles and collecting them together. We're hoping that will be most of them found.

Music...Everything posted on the blog, served by Mega and Mediafire, is still very active. There may still be a couple of posts with Zippyshare links that are dead, they are for the moment, lost.

It's going to be difficult posting new music, old music, hard to find and above all Great Music. This is where YOU fellow traveller can come into your own. Upload your favourite albums, singles, EP's vinyl, tape or CD, what ever shakes your tree. Soundtracks, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's, 00's and 2010's. Shoegaze, indie, classic goth, classic rock, punk, post-punk, new wave, power pop, experimental, electronica, synth-pop, industrial, EBM, darkwave, coldwave, psychedelia...

Lets see where tomorrow leads, together...

AJ

  1. Good to hear from you AJ. Yoy're right there will be better times ahead, whether any of us will be sane enough to appreciate them is another question! I've spent the last nine months learning a new language, I'm now fluent in dog! Stay safe!

  3. Great idea, AJ! Here's an underrated album, "The Tried Staying Calm" by The Leopards (1997, Creeping Bent) with a few bonus tracks. RIYL The Cramps, Screaming Blue Messiahs, and a bit of glam.

  8. Hey AJ! I knew you'd be back, or at least hoped...

Here's a favorite of mine, Vast Halos from Hex. That was Donette Thayer (nick name "Starfish") and Steve Kilbey (from The Church). Their work as Hex was from the Synthpop / New Wave / Dream Pop neighborhood, but none of those things really. Check it out...

  9. Please people, out of kindness for those who have limited capacity, please say whether your upload is lossy or flac/ lossless. AJ is OK with both lossy or lossless but AJ would be the first to say that not everyone is him. And I agree.

Anyway, thinking about these times we're living in, I'd like to contribute to your very good blog with an appropriate single by David Bowie,in FLAC:
